1908 von Max Baldeweg gegründet.
Beginn der Kameraproduktion um 1925.
 In der Folge Massenproduktion von  diversen Kameras.
Nach dem 2.Weltkrieg 1948 Neugründung
der Balda Werke durch Max Baldeweg in Westdeutschland,
das Dresdner Werk firmierte
nach Enteignung zunächst unter dem Balda-Namen weiter, wurde dann 1951 aber in "Optik Belca Werke"umbenannt.
Balda, Bünde, stellte bis 1987 Kameras her, Belca ging 1957 im "VEB Kamerawerk Niedersedlitz" auf.

Founded 1908 by Max Baldeweg.
Huge number of cameras were produced
from 1925 on. After WW II Max Baldeweg lost his company to the state and founded a new company under the Balda name in Western Germany. The East German company continued to produce cameras under the Blada name until 1951, when the name changed to "Optik Belca Werke". 1957 this company formed part of the new "VEB Kamerawerk Niedersedlitz"
